Frontierland

I can't believe it's 10:00 pm and I am just sitting down for the night.  Today was a busy day.  I started working on my Disney album last night.  I wanted to share the page I finished.   I am excited to get this album done.  This picture is of Robert with some of the Frontierland characters.

Robert's been "training" the little boy next door.  Nathan is 8 years old and really looks up to Robert as an older brother.  He told Robert he wanted to start working out.  So Robert made him this little workout chart and Nathan was so excited!  Robert told him if he worked out all 5 days he could pick any two things he wanted to do.  He told Robert that he wanted to build a HUGE army fort with him and have a sleep over.  Nathan couldn't wait!  This afternoon they started on their army fort and tonight he's sleeping over.  It's funny listening to them talk and I LOVE that Robert is really into building this fort.  I like it when I see the little boy in him.  He seems so grown up these days. Here's the photo I snapped when they started building the fort.  You should see it now!  They are really messing up my family room, but their fort looks pretty cool!  That's ok with me.  I am happy to see them having fun and they promised to clean it up in the morning.   

   

On a blog roll.....

Since I've posted something for the first 7 days in July I just couldn't let one day go by! ;)  So I am going to try to post everyday this month.  I don't know if I can do it, but I am going to try. :)  I don't have anything scrap related to post, but I did start a Disney page tonight from 2005.  I have our 2007 Disney trip to scrap too!  I think I am just going to combine them and scrap a few photos from each trip.  Hopefully I'll have that done and I can post it tomorrow. So for tonight you are going to get my Project 365 photo from Sunday.  My parents came over and we played Phase 10.  Here's a photo after we were done.  Bad photo......should of closed the blinds in the background.  Nice flash glare! 

Summer nights

Since Dave has switched to days it's been nice to have us all eat dinner together nightly.  Not rushing to eat early like we used to do when he worked nights.  We BBQ almost every night.  Tonight it's gorgeous out!  There's a slight breeze and when the sun starts to go down it's really very here nice.  I love summer nights like these.  

Here's the layout I did for the 4th of July challenge.  It's a picture if Robert in Philadelphia back in 2004.  Just 5 years ago.  I can't believe how little he looks in this picture.  

  

 

Still scrapping!

I am scrapping away!  I had a layout to post tonight along with this card, but it photographed really bad so I need to take better pictures tomorrow.  It feels so good to be scrapping regularly again.  I was out of it for awhile and these past few months I've been making sure to take the time.   I'm having a blast!  So anyway.......here's a card I made for a "use your scraps" challenge at Scrapbook Doodle.

 

Tonight Robert had a baskteball game.  They won 47-14!  I felt bad for the other team. 

Not much else is going on around here.  It's been a slow couple of weeks and I love that we have nothing going on.  Just enjoying our summer! :)

More scrapbooking

Just wanted to share a couple more things I did for the Summer Crop at Scrapbook Doodle.

 

 

I have a third layout I am almost done, but will have to finish that tomorrow.  My parents came over for dinner and games tonight.  Robert beat us at Phase 10.  He lets you know when you are losing too!  Little bugger!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

It's been a nice day today.  Robert and I went to the mall and out to lunch.  Then tonight the three of us went and saw Transformers.  This movie is GREAT!!  A  must see.  It was 2 1/2 hours long.  Then we came home and bbq'd . 

I was up early this morning so I did a little scrapping.  Here's the layout I did.  This year I have been trying to scrap my photos as I take them.  Not scrapping every photo....just a few here and there.  I am making sure I have at least one event for each month scrapped.  So since I just took some photos at Wet 'n Wild....those are the ones that I scrapped.

July 3rd

We had another blast at Wet 'n Wild today.  Oh my gosh...Jan and I laughed so hard!!  Just at this and that.  Around 6:00 pm they had everyone get out of the water and exit all the rides due to lightning.  We never saw any, but it was dark and windy.  We just hung out for a bit while the park emptied out and then went home.  Around 9:45 pm tonight we had a 10 minute storm.  Complete with thunder and lightning.  We were watching a movie and thought someone was pounding on the front door at first.  It was just the thunder.  Here are a few pictures I took this morning.  Then the camera went into the locker and never came out again.  I took these when we first arrived and no one really had gone in yet, so it looks like we are the only ones in the park.

 

 

We've had enough water for two days so we are not going to go tomorrow.  It opens to the public tomorrow and will be even more crowded since it's July 4th.  We plan on going Friday afternoon and stay for Dive-In-Movies.  They'll be open until 10:30 pm.

Tomorrow Robert and I are going to the mall while Dave is at work then we are going to go see Transformers in the afternoon.

Wet 'n Wild

We had the best time today!!  Wet 'n Wild is the best water park I have ever been to.  We didn't even go on all the rides today because there were so many and we ran out of time.  Water World was nothing compared to this park. It's ALL new, colorful and they had drink carts everywhere!  We just had sodas today.  Tomorrow we are going to have lunch in their restaurant.  I will also take more pictures tomorrow.  Today I just snapped this one while we were waiting to get our locker.

Happy July 1st!!

July is here.  One of my favorite months.  My birthday is in July, Dave and I got married in July (16 years), and  I LOVE July 4th!   This year Dave has to fly on the fourth (bummed about that!), but he'll be home early and we plan to go out to dinner and then to the movies.  One of our big fireworks displays was cancelled and the other one will be packed, so we are going to skipped watching them this year. 

Wet 'n Wild opened today!  We can't wait to go tomorrow and Friday.  Right now it's only opened to season pass holders.  Robert and I plan on going for a few ours on July 4th before Dave gets home.  Tomorrow I am taking Robert, Gus and Kylie so we can get our passes registered and check out the rides for a couple of hours.  Then on Friday we are going for the whole day and Jan is going to go also. 

I stayed up late last night and made this card.  I am working on a layout now and will probably stay up late tonight too.  

  

OK....back to scrapping!! :)

One month down!

One month of summer done.  I know for some - summer is just starting, but here in Arizona it starts around Memorial Day weekend.  Robert has been out of school for 6 weeks.  He goes back in about 6 weeks.  I can't believe it's going to be July already.  The time is really flying by fast. 

We don't have a lot going on this week.  I am happy about that.  Just doing whatever we want in the evenings.  This afternoon Jan, Kylie and I went to the mall shopping.  We went swimsuit shopping.  I was dreading it, but we found suits at the first store we went to!  I only had a couple of hours to shop until Robert was done basketball practice.  I had a few more stores I wanted to go to.  

Tonight Dave and I went to the park for a walk.  It was just getting dark and the wind was blowing.  It was actually pretty nice out.
